One of the few privately owned and operated wineries in Puglia, Cantine Paradiso produces a wide range of wines. The Paradiso family started making wine in the 1950s and have sought to improve Puglia's reputation within the wine world ever since. Located in the Daunia region, the Paradiso family lays claim to a winemaking tradition that dates back to the 4th Century BC. The terroir is characterised by low rainfall, high amounts of limestone in the soil, and good drainage. From the Podere Belmantello range to the gorgeous '1954' Primitivo, each wine from Cantine Paradiso succeeds at making Puglia worth a second look.
A deep, earthy nose with a whiff of pipe tobacco at the finish. A fairly rich palate with firm but not too dry tannins and a good length of finish....
