Casa de Mouraz


After quitting their lives in Lisbon in 2000, Sara Dionisio and Antonio Ribeiro settled in the Doa region, the place of Antonio's birth. Casa de Mouraz is the only certified biodynamic producer in the Dao region, and the Ribeiro family have been farming in this way for generations.

They focus on indigenous varieties - Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, Baga, Bical, Encruzado etc - and are producing exquisite wines at very good prices. Even thought Antonio is definitely has wine in his veins, he was born in a house in vineyards his mother inherited, Sara's grandfather also made wine, albeit on a much smaller scale.
