Domaine Raifault


It comes from a walled three hectare clos known as Le Villy, on the harder clay-limestone soils above Beaumont-en-Véron. It’s drinking well now and should hold, if not necessarily improve. Not unlike a minor Bordeaux, there is a complex set of flavours which move through a range of lead-pencils, damp, autumnal undergrowth and champignon de Paris.
