Peter's Weekly Selection - w/c 21st September 2015

Every week I will be picking a selection of the wines from our extensive range and showcasing them here. These are wines that are tasting wonderful and I really thing you should give them a shot. This week I've picked a dozen wines that I think show super value.

First up, 'The Cicada' from Domaine Chante Cigale - a great Grenache & Carignan blend from this great Chateauneuf-du-Pape producer with a pound off each bottle. If Pinotage is your thing, the newly released 'Abraham & the Heretics' pays tribute to the man (Abraham) that crossed Pinot Noir and Cinsault to create this South African grape in the 1920s.

Fancy a white Rhone blend? The Lirac from Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine is a floral, honeyed wine - perfect with meatier fish or some roast pork. Andrew Nielsen's 2014 Fleurie is another lovely crisp light red that you could drink now or buy a few, pop them away and drink with roast chicken or turkey in a few months time. Finally, if you fancy a great fizz, the Cremant de Jura combines beautiful freshness and a lovely aged, nutty and biscuity character all in one mouthful.

Next week, I'll be looking at the wonderful winemaking nation of Italy...
