Ribafreixo

ALENTEJO, PORTUGAL

Having only been founded in 2007, Ribafreixo brings an element of youthful vigour to the Portuguese wine scene. They put an emphasis on making wine with traditional Portuguese grapes and with a focus on quality, not quantity. Grapes such as Antão Vaz, Siria, Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet make delicious appearances in the Ribafreixo portfolio. Run by Mario Pinheiro, Nuno Bico, and Paulo Laureano, Ribafreixo has won many awards for both their red and white wines, but more importantly, have earned their vegan-friendly certification. While it is always good to try something new, it certainly helps when it is responsible and delicious as well.
