YARRA VALLEY, AUSTRALIA
A six foot Aussie Rules footballer making gentle, elegant wines. It reminds me of Geoff Capes, the former World's Strongest Man, who kept budgerigars, massive power with a delicate touch. Rob Dolan has been making wines in the Yarra Valley for over two decades, and in 2011 he decided to make his own wines and put his own name on them.
He bought the state of the art Yarra Burn winery in 2011, and two years later won James Halliday's '2014 newcomer winery of the year' award. I love his wines, particularly his whites, and really can't recommend you try them enough.
A lovely Chardonnay from this cool climate area of Australia. Bright tropical fruit mingle with very subtle vanilla oak. Contains Sulphites & Egg
