"A delicious Tempranillo, all red berries, crisp and bright, with some delicious herby notes and a long, spice note on the finish."
The Barreda family have been making wine since the 18th Century in the town of Corral de Almaguer, 110km south east of Madrid. The current winery was built in 1945 by Don Manuel de la Barreda and today his grandson, Juan Manuel, is at the helm. The vineyards are situated at 700 -780m and the influence of the nearby Cuenca mountains means cooler nights and a ready supply of ground water to combat the high summer temperatures.
