This is the fifth vintage of Cartology and Chris considers it his best to date, something which is consistent with the growing reputation of the 2015 vintage, saying it was the easiest wine he’s ever had to make. The wine is based on old vine Chenin, sourced from nine different sites around the Cape, with the addition of 12% Semillon from a single old block at the back-end of Franschhoek. It is rich and concentrated but also open and accessible now. That’s not to say that it won’t benefit with time in bottle as it shows great potential for further complexity. We only have 24 bottles of this years wine.
