Ezra Brooks was first produced in the 1950’s by the Medley Distillery, which was first established in Owensboro, Kentucky in 1901 at the beginning of the 20th century. The Medley family soon became very famous for producing many brands of high-quality Bourbon throughout the U.S.Ezra Brooks was one of their most successful brands – earning a reputation as a great quality bourbon at a very reasonable price.

In fact, Ezra Brooks Distilling Co. was praised by the U.S. Government in 1966 as “Kentucky’s Finest Little Distillery”. The emblem which shows this honour is printed on the Ezra Brooks black label.
