Le Grappin Beaune 1er Cru Boucherottes 2017 3x75cl

Black cherry, blackberry, bramble fruits, mulberry leaf and macerated blueberry intermingle with some savoury notes that add complexity. A floral, lifted tone, binds the swirling aromatics in a harmonious note. A mouth-filling and mouth-watering palate, accentuated by lingering baking spices and autumnal notes framed with acids, that give salivation rather than direction, hint at a long future.

Bright pale crimson. But the nose, by contrast, is pretty intense. Lots of fine tannins and ambition. Pretty fruit in abundance. Faint hint of coffee grains on the end and all potential rather than actuality. Jancis Robinson MW, 16.5+

Very intense fruity nose with lush blackberry and hedgerow fruit. This is aromatic on the palate too. Floral and fresh. 70% whole cluster. This soft and juicy wine is very inviting. It has svelte tannins, ripe and pure on the finish. Very floral. Sarah Marsh MW, 17.8
