La Bodega Pagos de Matanegra is located in the south of Burgos in northern Spain, within the range of the Duero River basin, the winery produces some of these Spanish wines with denomination of origin Ribera del Duero. The wines of the IO Ribera del Duero are primarily red, and the wine qualifies for the designation of origin under the Regulatory Council policy which must include at least 75% of Tempranillo in its drafting. The signature wines of the winery Pagos de Matagrena are made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, that is why they have such an extraordinary quality.
