A little bit of technical lingo for you - this wine has been wild yeast fermented, had lots of whole bunches in the fermentation and has aged for a short time in old french oak. What does that mean when you drink it? Well it means essentially that this wine maker has taken some time to take a much underused grape and really extract all of its beautiful red berry fruit and juicy purity. It's not a popular grape but boy is it good!
Garnet red with purple hues. On the nose, intense aromas of strawberries and blackberries combine nicely with notes of black pepper and dried fruits. A juicy and silky mouthful that...
A delicious cherry fruit and damsons emerge from the glass and then a palate of velvety soft fruit and a delightful long finish.
It is a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon - big, earthy, red and black fruits... what more do you want? Contains Sulphites
A nice, bright light fresh fruit. Cherry with a little sweet oak coming out. Nice balance and savoury on the finish.
