Chateau Balac 2016 75cl

£21.50

Tasting Note

This wine has spent 12 months in 1, 2 and 3 year old barrels adding a touch of woody spice to the supple tannins and soft medium bodied palate. Great black fruit expression with elegance and finesse.

Producer

When the Touchais family bought Château Balac in the 1960s there were no vines left and the Château, designed by the same architect as the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux, was in ruins. Roll forward a few decades and they now have 19 hectares under vine, the property is restored, with the wine being made by the third generation, Lionel Touchais.
