Champagne Paul Dethune

AMBONNAY, CHAMPAGNE, FRANCE

Pierre and Sophie Dethune's Champagnes are a perfect counterbalance for the crisper, lighter wines from their friends, the Fournys.  The Dethunes started as growers in the 1800s and began making their own wines in the 1930s, and Ambonnay is predominantly a village of Pinot Noir, resulting in fuller, richer, rounder styles of Champagne.

Made in a mixture of stainless steel and barrels (sourced from local forests), this Grand Cru producer is makes wonderfully balanced, rich wines that are great when served with food, but equally good on their own in a distinct mouthfilling way!
