The village of Montgueux brings such a unique style to Chardonnay and there are few that can show it the way Helene does with this cuvee.The palate is crisp, generous and delivers such a delightful pert fruitiness and balance. Based in the beautiful village of Montgueux, the most southerly outcrop of chalk in the Champagne region, Helene creates a fabulous range of Champagnes from wonderfully mature vines, (50 years old). The family were the first to plant in the area after the first world war. The village creates a unique style in Chardonnay; complex, spicy with a wonderful chalky note.
