Chionetti Barbera d'Alba Vigna San Sebastiano 2021 75cl

£22.95

Tasting Note

"If you want the drinkability of a Barbera with a bit more sophistication, this is the one for you. A single vineyard Barbera d’Alba elevated to a wine that can age with Chionetti’s trademark balance of strength & drinkability – an elegant wine with cherry and plum notes on the nose with a hint of spice. The palate is full with a bright, fruit led finish."

Producer

A winery founded in 1912 and run by five generations of the Chionetti family. It is thanks to Quinto, grandson of the founder Giuseppe, that the marketing of the bottles with the name of the family really grew. Andrea then, the son of Quinto, decided to explore the potential of their vineyards and, as a result, they start to produce trhee crus: Sorì Briccolero, San Luigi, Vigna la Costa. Since 2015 the Chionetti family has purchased 3 vineyards in the Barolo area. The grapes are vinified separately, thus giving three distinct Barolo wines.
