"No oak appears on this Malbec which means it opens up a whole new dimension to those of you who Malbec is all about powerful levels of coconutty wood. Cherries - loads of bright fruit, a little spice and some earth thrown in too. Exceptionally lovely, simple and fun. Certainly my new 'go-to' burger wine."
The mystery of Mauricio Lorca is how such an unassuming and genuinely humble man makes such exuberantly expressive and stylish wines; his alter ego perhaps. Mauricio's career spans key and head winemaking roles at Catena, Luigi Bosca and Finca La Celia, and his talents as a top consultant are still very much in demand throughout the country; but it's at home, in his own winery in Perdriel, Luján, that his dream comes to life. Across the board Mauricio's wines present a varietal purity that is very dif cult to match, let alone beat. Mauricio's own vineyards are in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley, an area that he was early in recognising as having fantastic potential. The fact that all of his wines are made from his own Vista Flores fruit - even the lower priced ones - is something that sets them apart in terms of quality and value. Keep up the great work Mauricio!
